The Anchor Academy is offering a Career Exploration class to high school home schooled students. Each student will choose three (3) careers to research per semester. I will set up the meetings between the professionals and the students. The students will be required to compile their research and create a presentation to share with the class. 

 

I decided to offer this class because so many college students change their majors at least once during the time they are in school. I personally changed my major 3 times and lost many hours and almost $20,000. I feel that it is very important to offer students a chance to see what their career choices look like in the real world before there is a large financial commitment in place. I know dozens of people who wish they had had a opportunity like this before they got to college.

 

 

Cost- $50 per month

Supply Fee- $50 per semester

Class size- 12 students

 

This class is a Tuesday only class.

 

This class can be taken as a one semester elective or as a complete school year elective.
